Just before Christmas, Pope Francis released a very personal book with his views on how we should be thinking about life after the pandemic. What changes do we want to see in the world, and in ourselves, as a result of all that we’ve experienced this past year?
“To come out of this crisis better, we have to see clearly, choose well, and act right.” The book is divided into three sections devoted to those themes of seeing, choosing, and then acting. The book ranges wide to include economic justice, fighting a sense of discouragement, and opening our eyes to see God, and the world around us, more clearly.
We’ll have three Tuesday Zoom meetings of a little over an hour each:
· Tuesday, February 23, 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM
· Tuesday, March 2, 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM
· Tuesday, March 9, 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM
Deacon Tom Baker will facilitate the meetings. This is not a class or a lecture! It’s a book-club discussion where everyone will have a chance to share reactions to the Pope’s thoughts.
Participants would be asked to purchase the book and read through page 47 in advance of our first meeting. Please register in advance if you are thinking of attending.
