In a world where conversations can quickly become arguments—and disagreements can divide families, friendships, workplaces, and even our Church—what if Jesus could teach us a better way to talk with one another?

Maybe there’s a difficult conversation you’ve been avoiding. A relationship where you wish you could listen better, speak more honestly, or simply understand one another. A moment when you wished you’d responded differently.

Every person matters. There are no throwaway conversations. Every conversation is an opportunity for grace.

Jesus listened. He asked questions. He welcomed people. He spoke truth with love. He challenged without humiliating. He saw the person behind the position.

Join Adult Formation for a parish-wide day exploring how the way we listen, speak, welcome, and lead can transform our parish. Our vision is simple and ambitious: to become the most welcoming parish we can be—a place where every person feels seen, heard, valued, and genuinely welcomed; where hospitality is part of who we are; where difficult conversations become opportunities for grace; and where every encounter reflects Christ and draws people closer to Him.

Through Scripture, reflection, prayer, and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore practical ways to: 

• Listen so others feel heard rather than judged.
• Ask questions that open hearts and invite deeper conversation.
• Navigate difficult conversations with grace.
• Disagree without dividing.
• Speak truth with charity.
• Welcome others intentionally, especially those who may feel new, overlooked, or on the margins
