Cigar Night Fundraiser

An Evening of Great Food, Good Company, and a Great Cause

April 15, 2026 @ 6:00 PM

Join Us for a Night That Makes a Difference

Join us for a fun, exciting evening this April as we gather for our first Cigar Night, a relaxed and spirited fundraiser supporting the faith journey of our parish youth. Enjoy an incredible meal, quality cigars, and even better company—all while helping us invest in the next generation of disciples.

This event directly supports our goal of sending 26 of our youth to the Steubenville Youth Conference at Franciscan University of Steubenville this coming July. These conferences are powerful moments of encounter—where young people experience Christ, deepen their faith, and return energized to live it out.

Our fundraising goal is $12,389.71, and with your help, this evening will bring us one step closer.

Why We’re Fundraising

Your participation helps us:

  • Offset travel, lodging, and conference costs

  • Make the conference accessible to as many youth as possible

  • Continue building a welcoming, faith-filled, and hospitable parish culture

  • Create real opportunities for our young people to encounter Christ in meaningful ways

In short: cigars tonight, saints tomorrow. Not a bad return on investment.

To make the evening more welcoming for everyone, the event will be held in the Great Hall for those who prefer not to be around cigar smoke. For guests who do enjoy a good cigar, our Great Hall patio will be set up and ready, creating a comfortable outdoor space to relax and enjoy.

Menu for the Evening

And while the evening includes cigars, let’s be honest — the real star of the night is the food.
We are incredibly fortunate to have the Executive Chef from Azzurri’s Italian Cucina cooking an unforgettable menu onsite. Chef Gentilella trained under Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten at Jean-Georges Restaurant — a critically acclaimed kitchen awarded four stars by The New York Times and two Michelin stars.
If you’re a foodie, this is not to be missed. I personally didn’t realize food could taste this good until I experienced Chef Gentilella’s cooking — hands down, this may be the best meal you’ll eat in New Jersey.

Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully prepared meal crafted by the Executive Chef, Anthony Gentilella, of Azzurri’s Italian Cucina in Harvey Cedars, NJ, making your evening both delicious and memorable—included with registration.

Guests will also enjoy a limited open bar, generously provided by Happy Traveler Bar. Throughout the evening, savor a curated menu of specialty cocktails crafted exclusively for the night, including a Spicy Margarita, Espresso Martini, refreshing Cucumber Cooler, and a classic Old-Fashioned—along with whiskey on the rocks. Sip responsibly, unwind, and enjoy the moment. This is an evening meant to be savored, not rushed.

A Special Cigar Night Experience

Each attendee will receive a complimentary cigar box upon arrival, complete with a couple of cigars to enjoy throughout the evening. Inside the box, you’ll also find a few fun and fascinating cigar facts—because let’s be honest, what would an event at Saint David the King be without a handful of delightfully random trivia?

Adding to the experience, we’re excited to welcome a professional cigar roller from Tabako Cigars, who will be onsite throughout the night. Each guest will receive a freshly rolled cigar, crafted right before your eyes—an experience that’s as enjoyable to watch as it is to savor.

It’s all part of making this evening memorable, relaxed, and just plain fun.

Thank You to Our Sponsors

This evening would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, whose support helps make this event—and our youth ministry—thrive.

Interested in Becoming a Sponsor?

We would be deeply grateful for your business’s support of this parish fundraiser. If you or your business would like to become a Cigar Night sponsor, please contact the parish office for more information or click HERE to download the sponsorship form and return it to the parish office with your check.

All sponsorships include complimentary tickets to Cigar Night, along with the sincere appreciation—and prayers—of our parish community. Your generosity directly supports our youth as they prepare to attend the Steubenville Conference this summer, helping provide an experience that can shape their faith for years to come. It’s an investment that truly makes a lasting impact.

🍷 Don’t Miss the Cork Pull!

One of the highlights of the evening will be our always-popular Cork Pull—simple, fun, and guaranteed to make everyone a winner.

Here’s how it works:

  • Guests may purchase a Cork Pull ticket for $25

  • Each ticket holder pulls a cork from the bucket

  • The number on the cork corresponds to a bottle of wine

  • You take home that bottle—easy as that!

Every cork wins a bottle valued at $25 or more. And here’s where it gets exciting: some generous parishioners donate bottles valued well above $25… which means a few lucky winners will be very happy winners.

🍷 Want to Donate a Bottle of Wine?

You can support our fundraising efforts even if this event isn’t something you’re able to attend.

If you’d like to contribute to the Cork Pull, please consider donating a bottle of wine valued at $25 or above. You may contact the parish office or simply drop off a bottle (or two!) when you come to Mass. This is an easy and meaningful way to support our youth and help make this fundraiser a success.

Support our youth by donating a bottle!

We’re Grateful for You

Thank you for joining us—not only for a memorable evening, but in supporting our youth as they grow in faith, friendship, and courage. Your generosity helps plant seeds that will bear fruit far beyond this one night.

We can’t wait to see you on April 15th. Come hungry. Come relaxed. Come ready to make a difference.
