The Evangelization Commission serves as an essential extension of our Pastoral Council, with a unique and vital role in guiding the growth of our parish community. By continuously assessing both the needs of our parish and the effectiveness of our ministries, the Commission ensures that we are fulfilling the Gospel Mandate and advancing our mission as a faith community.
A Vital Role in Parish Growth
This Commission’s ongoing evaluation process is key to developing a comprehensive Pastoral Plan. This plan, presented to the Pastoral Council for approval, helps us recognize where we are thriving, identify ministries that may be stagnating, and pinpoint areas where new ministries are needed. Ultimately, the goal is to foster a parish that is continually growing in the image of Christ, so that we can be a beacon of hope, truth, and faith in our broader community.
Equally important, the Evangelization Commission will strategize ways to reach those who have fallen away from the Church. This isn’t about going door-to-door, but about being intentional in our outreach—creating opportunities to invite others back into the fold and help them experience the warmth and vitality of our parish community.
If you feel called to help shape this vital mission, we invite you to get involved. For more information or to sign up, please contact Fr. Jason.
“The New Evangelization is a challenge to every believer, to every parish, to every diocese, to bring the message of Christ into the very heart of contemporary society, and to do so with new ardor, new methods, and new expression.“
— Pope St. John Paul II, Apostolic Letter “Novo Millennio Ineunte” (2001)
