The Catholic community of st. david the king

A Welcoming Community of Faithful Young Adults

In the modern day, the presence of Catholic Young Adults (ages 18-39) is dramatically shrinking. Here at St. David the King, there is a welcoming community of Young Adults walking together in their faith journey. Feel free to join us at any upcoming events for faith, fellowship, and fun. No matter your religious tradition, you are welcome here!

Test Your Knowledge In Trivia!

On Tuesday, April 30th join St. David the King’s Young Adult Ministry in competing for prizes at a Trivia Night! We will gather for the weekly Trivia Night at Tavern on the Lake, which starts at 6:00 PM. There is no fee for this event, but feel free to purchase food or drinks at the restaurant!

No registration is required, but let us know you are coming by responding on Flocknote or reaching out to Matthew Simms (609-275-7111 (ext. 202) | msimms@stdavidtheking.com).

Afternoon At The Vineyards!

On Saturday, May 11th join St. David the King’s Young Adult Ministry at Working Dog Winery (610 Windsor Perrineville Rd, Highstown, NJ 08520). Working Dog Winery is a local vineyard that offers Award-Winning Estate Grown wines in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They are also pet friendly, so bring your furry friends! We will meet at 1:00 PM and end our formal event around 3:00 PM. Depending on group interest, we can do a wine flight or buy a bottle or two!

The cost for this event is $10 (cash or check dropped off to the Front Office). Working Dog Winery has its own age restrictions, so this event is only for ages 21-39! Register on Flocknote before May 3rd.

If you have any additional questions, please contact Matthew Simms (609-275-7111 (ext. 202) | msimms@stdavidtheking.com).

Service & Social

On Saturday, June 1st join St. David the King and the Diocese of Trenton in participating in the Service & Social. It will be a casual day for Young Adults to build community and put their faith into action by serving those in need. The day will begin at 9:00 AM at Vincent’s Legacy in Wall, New Jersey (2201 Marconi Road (InfoAge/former Camp Evans site), Wall Township, 07719). Please enter through main gates, turn right at the “T” intersection, follow road around a few bends, Warehouse #9037D will be on your left, directly across from the Brookdale Community College parking lot. Our day will end at 2:00 PM.

This is a great opportunity to connect with other young adults from our Diocese and use our gifts and talents to serve God and make a difference in the community!

Part of our day will be delivering furniture and home goods to families in need that have recently acquired housing. We will also pick up donations and help organize and clean them, etc. So, close toed shoes are required. Also, I recommend bringing water to stay hydrated! We will need to car pool from the warehouse to the locations we will serve. If you are willing to drive please let me know! Be prepared for the weather, dress for the possibility of getting dirty, and be open to doing whatever task needs to be done!

Pizza will be provided for lunch. (If you have special dietary needs, please bring your own lunch).

If you have any additional questions, please contact Matthew Simms (609-275-7111 (ext. 202) | msimms@stdavidtheking.com).
