The SDTK Social Concerns Committee will be assisting Community Emergency Services of Catholic Charities to provide bagged lunches along with toiletry kits and coloring books and crayons to the patrons of their Food Bank. This ministry is a smaller version of our Loaves and Fishes Ministry that we chaired a few years ago. Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners our first Annual Brown Bag Lunch ministry from 2024 was such a success, we have decided to add this as an annual event.

The lunches requested are PB&J sandwiches, a piece of fresh fruit, a snack bag (chips, pretzels, etc.) and a drink box.  The toiletry kits should include one each (ALL TRAVEL SIZE) shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush and a bar of soap.  Toiletry kits can be placed in a Ziploc bag for easy distribution.

• There will be an opportunity to sign-up for the lunches the weekend of July 12/13 after all masses in the GATHERING SPACE.  If you choose to provide lunches, you will receive a bundle of five (5) brown bags with instructions attached.  Collections for the lunches will be during the hours of 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the GREAT HALL on WEDNESDAY, July 16th.  Please note we can only accept lunches during this time period. 
• There will be drop off boxes in the GATHERING SPACE after all masses the weekend of July 12/13 for the toiletry kits, coloring books and crayons ONLY. These items may be dropped off Monday, July 14 or Tuesday, July 15 while the church offices are open and if dropping off on the morning of WEDNESDAY, July 16 it must be prior to 11:00 AM.  No need to sign up for the toiletry kits or coloring books/crayons.
