Habemus Papam!

Join us tomorrow evening to pray for our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope.

We will have Adoration starting at 5 pm until Mass at 7 pm
Please sign up as a Guardian of the Eucharist if you are able.

O God, who chose your servant Pope Leo XIV

in succession to the Apostle Peter
as shepherd of the whole flock,
look favorably on our prayers and grant
that as Vicar of Christ on earth,
the whole Church may be in communion with him
in the bond of unity, love, and peace;
so that in you, the shepherd of souls,
all may know the truth and attain life eternal.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever.
Amen.

May God bless Pope Leo XIV!

Important Parish Census

It has been 10 years since our last census, and having accurate, up-to-date registration is more important than ever. These records help us serve you better—and they also assist the diocese in discussions around parish mergers and clergy assignments. Your participation directly impacts the future of our parish community.

Last weekend (April 26/27), we distributed Parish Census Packets at all Masses. We ask that you return your completed census form by Sunday, May 11 so we can update our records. If you did not pick up a packet, they will still be available this weekend in the gathering space. If you are homebound and cannot pick up the packet, please contact the Parish Office at 609.275.7111. Thank you for taking the time to be counted and stay connected!

The card is the ONLY item you need to complete and return by May 11th.

You can return it in one of three easy ways:
  • Drop it off at the parish office,
  • Place it in the collection basket at Mass, or
  • Mail it to the parish office.
To help us update our records accurately, here are three important points to remember when completing your card:
  1. Religion Category:
Please do not simply write “Catholic.” Instead, indicate your Rite. Most will be “Latin Rite” Catholics, but others may be Syro-Malabar, Ukrainian, etc. If you’re unsure, “Latin” is most likely correct! If someone in your household is not catholic then please indicate what faith community they affiliate with.
  2. Family Name and Household Members:
    • Please list a clear Family Name at the top of the card — this helps us organize families, especially since we are blessed with 19 vibrant ethnic communities and not everyone follows the custom of a shared surname.
    • When listing individuals in the household, please include last names for any members whose surname differs from the Family Name listed at the top.
  3. One Card Per Household:
    • A single card should cover you, your spouse, and any children under the age of 25.
    • Children who are 25 or older must register separately with their own card — even if they currently live at home still or are in a “quasi-domicile” situation, (such as being away at college or serving in the military while maintaining your home as their primary residence).
    • If they live permanently elsewhere, encourage them to register at their local parish — registering them here would unfortunately make them automatically “inactive.” (Meaning we cannot supply any letter stating they are in good standing should they be asked to serve as a Godparent, confirmation sponsor, etc.)
PLEASE NOTE: Include a good email address at the bottom of the card.
Please know: completing this census card truly matters.
Our parish has grown and changed beautifully over the last decade! Updating our records allows us to minister more effectively to your needs. It also directly influences important diocesan decisions — including conversations around parish mergers, closures, and priest assignments.
In short: filling out this little card can make a big difference for the future of Saint David the King!
If you have any questions or need help filling out your card, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to assist!
Thank you for your joyful commitment to our parish family.
Let’s keep moving forward together in Christ!
In Christ,
Fr. Jason
