Congratulations to our Confirmandi

God bless our confirmandi who will receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit by the sacrament of Confirmation on Friday, November 7.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, knowledge, Piety, Fortitude (Courage) and Fear (Wonder & Awe) of the Lord.

When we trust in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we are formed as good and holy people, living the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives: charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, gentleness, modesty, faithfulness, self-control and chastity.

Christmas Giving Tree

Gift tags can be selected after masses on December 6th and 7th.  Please return your wrapped gift to the Church no later than 1 p.m. on December 14th.

Please select a tag and sign your name next to the corresponding number on the sign-up sheet.  Request for gift cards will be on the tree on the right; gift tags requesting gifts will be on the tree on the left.  Committee members will be on-hand to assist you.

Once again, thank you for your support.

Spaghetti Dinner!

On Saturday, November 8, the Knights of Columbus are hosting one of our legendary Spaghetti Dinners for all parishioners and their families after the 4 p.m. Mass.

So please come and join your fellow parishioners for a delicious dinner in the Great Hall. We will be serving spaghetti with homemade sauce, meatballs, sausages, rolls, salad, desserts, and hot and cold beverages. And you can even bring your own adult beverage to accompany your meal.

It’s always a great time filled with food and fellowship. So come out and enjoy the evening with us.

Tickets are available at our table in the Gathering Space after all Masses on November 1 and 2. Ticket prices are $15 for an individual ticket, $25 for a ‘Couples’ ticket, or $35 for a family ticket.  We will accept cash, check or credit card. Tickets paid by credit card are slightly higher.  As usual, all net proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity.

We hope to see you there!

Celebrating the Canonization of Two Modern Saints: Blessed Carlo Acutis & Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

The Church rejoices in the canonization of two remarkable witnesses of faith: Saint Carlo Acutis and Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati. Though separated by nearly a century, their lives shine with a common thread—an unwavering love for the Eucharist and a contagious joy in living as Christ’s disciples in the modern world.

SDTK Bereavement Ministry

We recognize that losing someone can deeply affect our hearts and our lives.

If you’ve lost a loved one, join us for a four-week series offering an opportunity to reflect, share, and heal. No preparation needed—just come as you are. Each session encourages open conversation and connection as we walk through grief together. Evening and Morning sessions are available.

For more details, visit us at https://stdavidtheking.com/bereavement/ or email Al Martella at sdtk.almart@gmail.com.

Parish Picnic

We are excited to see everyone at the picnic this Sunday! Over 550 people signed up to attend!

Just a couple of notes for all who are attending the picnic:
  • Please give any desserts you bring with you to one of our teen custodians who will have carts in the gathering space as you enter for 10:30 a.m. Mass.
  • We are very excited to have so many parishioners in attendance this year! If you would like to help defray the cost of this year’s picnic, (the cost per person is approximately $30) St. David’s would appreciate any free will offering you would like to make. Please click the link below if you are so inclined. Thank you so much for your generosity.
