All parishioners are welcome for a fun night of Trivia with categories such as Sports, Music, Movies, and Catholic trivia.

No trivia experience necessary – just have fun while meeting your fellow Parishioners & working together to answer questions. We will have fun prizes for the winning tables!

Alcohol will not be served, but feel free to bring a beverage of your choice, or your own snacks!  As usual, we will have shared desserts – and if you would like to bring one, please indicate this when you register. 

Enjoy shared desserts, soft drinks, coffee and tea while answering a variety of both fun and interesting trivia.

How to Listen, Speak, and Love Like Christ

In a world where conversations can quickly become arguments—and disagreements can divide families, friendships, workplaces, and even our Church—what if Jesus could teach us a better way to talk with one another?

Maybe there’s a difficult conversation you’ve been avoiding. A relationship where you wish you could listen better, speak more honestly, or simply understand one another. A moment when you wished you’d responded differently.

Every person matters. There are no throwaway conversations. Every conversation is an opportunity for grace.

Jesus listened. He asked questions. He welcomed people. He spoke truth with love. He challenged without humiliating. He saw the person behind the position.

What if we could bring that same spirit to every conversation at SDTK Parish?

Join Adult Formation for a parish-wide day exploring how the way we listen, speak, welcome, and lead can transform our parish. Our vision is simple and ambitious: to become the most welcoming parish we can be—a place where every person feels seen, heard, valued, and genuinely welcomed; where hospitality is part of who we are; where difficult conversations become opportunities for grace; and where every encounter reflects Christ and draws people closer to Him.

What could change—for you and for our parish?

Through Scripture, reflection, prayer, and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore practical ways to: 

  • Listen so others feel heard rather than judged.
  • Ask questions that open hearts and invite deeper conversation.
  • Navigate difficult conversations with grace.
  • Disagree without dividing.
  • Speak truth with charity.
  • Welcome others intentionally, especially those who may feel new, overlooked, or on the margins

Come with a conversation in mind. Leave with a different way to have it—and a renewed vision for how we can become the parish Christ calls us to be.

This day is for everyone. Whether you’re active in a Bible study, small group, book club, apologetics group, or other parish ministry—or simply want to connect your faith more deeply with everyday life—you are welcome.
